What happens to Hallux rigidus?

A foot condition that’s when the big toe joint ( first metatarsophalangeal joint) does not move is the Hallux rigidus. What happens when this that not is that we are not going to walk right.  This is result in overload of joint from the ankle to the knee and the back. Some people use the term hallux rigidus to mean osteoarthritis of the big toe joint as they so often happen together. Surgery can put a plastic spacer in the joint that can restore some movement. A rocker sole on the shoe often help to get the forward motion that is lost if surgery for hallux rigidus is not an opinion.
