Osteopenia Treatment includes Calcium

Osteopenia is not a disease but is part of the process the bones go through before osteoporosis is diagnosed.  It is the portion of your bone density readings that falls just before you can be diagnosed with osteoporosis.  Your height and weight vary and so does the bone density from one person to another.  Therefore, your score doesn’t determine osteopenia.  What determines it is whether or not you have risk factors.  Risk factors come in the form of a family history of osteoporosis or even a lot of fractures in your family.  Further, there is Osteopenia Treatment.  Making sure you eat enough calcium in your diet is definitely part of it.
