I’m studying to be a history major and one of the areas that I’m involving myself in is the German culture and heritage. it’s so rich and intricate, I’m having a wonderful time learning all that I am, and my teacher suggested that I study german abroad in order to really immerse myself in what I was studying. At first, I didnt’ take it to seriously, but the more I thought about it the more I realized that I would really enjoy it. I could go to a great German school there and take the time to explore centuries-old towns and really gain a greater understanding of what I was studying. I’ve already booked my tickets.

I’m something of a travel nut, I do it for the sheer joy and experience and the chance to encounter interesting individuals. One of the things I did recently was study abroad in germany. For three months I lived in Berlin and interacted with the locals, learning their language and just immersing myself in their culture. I walked away with an entirely new perspective and really glad that I’d done what I set out to do. My family doesn’t always understand why I do what I do, but when it comes to life experiences, I know I’m going to have no regrets.

My big sister Shana and I are always trying to think up the ultimate place for us to take our kids, but still have lots of fun things to amuse the adults as well.  This time we decided that instead of visiting one of those overly crowded and insanely hectic amusement parks, we would do a big trip to the beach with the kids.  We plan to stay at a lovely resort in hayle cornwall.  We will all love spending time together playing in the water, enjoying the sun, and just having fun as a family!  I am so excited that this next few weeks will drag by for me.

Me and a couple of mates are heading down south for a week of fishing. I have booked our rotorua accommodation as we will be spending two days there on the lake before heading over to taupo for another three days. An old friend of mine works as a guide there so he is going to take us to all the good back country spots where most people don’t get to go. In case you didn’t know, the central north island has some of the best trout fishing in the world, so it should be an awesome trip and hopefully we come home with some good size fish.

Some friends and I have put together a team to compete in a massive cycle race in the south island and it is fast approaching. We have pretty much arranged everything, the one thing we do need to sort out is car hire as we will need a support vehicle. We had considered driving down there, but with all our gear it would have been pretty uncomfortable. So we will fly down there and pick up a car to use. We have competed a few times but always in the north so have had friends available to drive for us and use their wagons for support.
